<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\nTo really test his commitment, I dressed up as Harry Potter for Halloween that year. All that said, when we discovered this secret room under our stairs, Reggie immediately dubbed it the Harry Potter room, and my mind started whirling with ideas for the space. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Here’s what I came up with:<\/p>\n\n\n\n I picked out this cool wallpaper<\/a> as the base of my inspiration, and went from there. I knew I wanted the space to be a reading nook, so I added some Ikea spice shelves<\/a> – painted black – for book racks. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The ceiling area was unfinished under the staircase, so I sealed it off using bead board and some painted finishing wood pieces. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Then then fun part of adding all the different elements was next. All of the pieces are linked below. <\/p>\n\n\n\n TIP: If you plan to use the wallpaper I picked, you will need at least twice the amount you thought you needed.
