Last year on Mother’s Day we were in lockdown and all I wanted to do was spend the day cleaning my house and being alone. Matt entertained the kids and I spent the day scrubbing floors and baseboards.
Let’s just say that this year I’m in the mood for a different kind of Mother’s Day – one with mimosas and maybe a trip to Gardner’s Supply to pick out a couple lilac trees for the front of the house.
I also wouldn’t pass up any of these gift ideas that caught my eye! They are from some of my favorite Vermont makers, Etsy shops, or local businesses. Best of all, they are unique and ship all over the US.
1) Oyster Beads from Ostrica the Oyster Co
I’ve shared these beads so many times and even gave one away to a follower when I hit 1,000 followers on Instagram. These would make a great gift for someone who enjoys neutral coastal styles and decor. The woman who makes them hand paints the oyster shells, and has a huge variety of colors and styles. She even does napkin rings, which are beyond beautiful.

2) Rose Gold Bead Bracelet from Elli Parr
I recently had the pleasure of visiting the new Elli Parr boutique in Shelburne, VT. It was such a beautiful spot – perfectly boho-glam – and the jewelry was stunning. This bracelet caught my eye on the website. I love pieces that can be staples and versatile with different outfits or jewelry pairings, and this certainly fit the bill. I also love the simple, dainty layered gold necklace and you can’t go wrong with a spin on gold hoops.

3) Gemstone Huggies by Gosia Meyer Jewelry
I’ve been shopping Gosia Meyer’s collections for years and I always find something I adore – like these sweet gemstone huggies. They are so dainty and cute for spring and summer. All of her pieces are dainty and wearable, but also have some creative flair. I especially love her earrings and anklets!

4) Wreaths by Copper and Birch
I recently posted on my Instagram Stories that I’ve been impressed with this season’s wreath selection. Kristen from Copper and Birch reached out and showed me some of her work and I was blown away. Even better, she’s local! Her work is beautiful, unique, and high quality. I love the wreath she made for our front door!

5) Pressed Wildflower Locket by Root Knots
How beautiful is this locket? This Etsy shop is full of unique botanical jewelry. You can also buy them locally in-store or online at Home & Garden Vermont or right from the Etsy Shop.

6) Planter Stand Stool at Gardner’s Supply Company
I love a good plant stand, but this one takes the cake. It triples as a stool, plant stand, or planter. You could even use it to store things – or hold drinks 🙂 Great gift idea for a mom looking for a place to put a plant, floral arrangement, or bottle of Rose.

7) Trunk Vases from Farmhouse Pottery
These trunk vases are a neutral decor-lovers dream. I’ve had my eye on them for a while and would love a variety of sizes to do a pretty tablescape! Or they could stand alone on an accent table with a pretty arrangement. Really, anything from Farmhouse Pottery would be an amazing gift!

I hope you enjoyed this round up and got some ideas for gifts for the mothers in your life. Or – even better – share this with your loved ones as a subtle hint 🙂
