Another round of some of the best Amazon buys from 2020. With the kids being home so much more often this past year, it’s no surprise that my shopping trips on Amazon comprised several home care and cleaning items. These are kid, mom, and quarantine tested!

Touch up paint pen – These pens have been super useful in our home projects. I HATE taping off to paint and now that I have these pens, those little slips don’t require me to get out all of our supplies just to touch up a couple spots on the ceiling or walls. It’s also handy if you have paint scuffs, scratches, or marker to cover up.
Compost Bin – Vermont passed legislation requiring residents to compost and this has been so clutch. I bring it out to my pick up bin every few days to dump it. It never smells and takes up very little counter space. You could also put it under the sink to hide it away.
Eufy Robot Vacuum – We have two of these – one upstairs and one on the main floor – and they are incredible. They keep up the tumbleweeds of pet hair away and keep up with the day-to-day dirt and dust tracked through the house. Highly recommend!
Folex – If you have kids – or drink red wine – this is a must have. One of the downfalls of preferring a light and bright home aesthetic is that I am constantly paranoid about my kids’ greasy hands touching things. After I started using Folex I never worried again. This is removed so many stains from carpets and furniture – including red wine, berries, marker, and coffee.
Under sink pull-out organizer – I have a tendency to accumulate cleaning products. When we moved, Matt couldn’t believe how many boxes and bins of cleaning supplies we had. What can I say? I like a clean home. That said, I did find that I had multiples of things. These pull-out organizers helped to keep things together and since they pull out, you can always see and access things that may have found their way deep in the back of the cabinet.
Bissel Steam Mop – Did I mention my kids are spending a lot more time at home now? This steam mop is great. It has three settings so you can adapt the steam strength depending on the mess and floors. We have hard wood flooring across nearly our whole house, and this is gentle enough to use on the floors while still cleaning up any spills or mess easily.
Silicone Strainer – If your kids are like mine and think Mac and Cheese is a food group, this strainer is for you. I was so sick of washing the big colander every time I made my kids lunch. This clips right on so you can strain and then mix in one pot. Best of all, it’s dishwasher friendly.
